The customer is responsible for the final selection of size, as we cannot rely on averages in images. However, we are happy to provide recommendations.

The ideal way is to physically measure with a tape measure; keep framing in mind around the print. The most popular sizes in South Africa are poster sizes such as A2 to A0 - product dependant. Using a tape measure is clearly the ideal measurement tool.

There is a home hack to visualise and measure:

Get one or two sheets of A1 cardboard.

Two A1 sheets makes AO.

Half an A1 is an A2.

A1 is similar to 60x90cm.

'Backorder' means that the product is not immediately available but can still be ordered. We reserve the right to decline importing products if the costs are not proportional. This decision will be made at our discretion and may include adjustments to pricing where necessary. Some products are digitally printed on polycotton canvas, while others are high-quality art prints. Please note, the artwork may vary slightly in colour.

We reserve the right to offer a similar product when possible and to withdraw products at any time.

Some products are sourced locally, while others are imported. Prices may change if necessary, particularly for imported items. In such cases, we reserve the right to adjust prices based on factors like shipping costs, exchange rates, and customs fees. We import products at our discretion, ensuring that costs align with the product's value or upon acceptance of adjusted pricing. Additionally, we may withdraw products at any time and, when possible, offer a similar alternative.

Once you're ready to check out, you order, you'll be given the choice to pay via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or via Payfast - secure payment gateway. The order will then be processed once the payment reflects in our bank account. Bank details will be available on the EFT option.

Our reliable shipping partner, Courier Guy, adjusts their prices only under extreme circumstances, yet they remain reasonable. The cost will be displayed at checkout, from (suburb a) to (suburb b). 

A security code will be send to the customer via WhatsApp or SMS on the day of delivery, which will be required on arrival.

There are occasional delays in product availability, shipping and customs which are frustrating but unavoidable. We do follow up regularly on the progress and keep you informed. Please note that Curatr cannot take responsibility for processes outside of our direct control.

Our products aren't insured in transit. We follow a quality process before dispatching your wall art to ensure the highest quality. If, however, there's product damage or you're unsatisfied with the product, please send us pics and note what the issue is, in order for us to come to fair resolution. If it so happens that the products are required to be sent back, the onus on the customer to return it at their cost, packaged properly to avoid damage.

Curatr doesn't offer refunds but will supply a voucher to the value of the product purchased, less the courier fee borne on us. The voucher will be applicable for 3 (three) years.

In exceptional circumstances, Curatr may decide to refund the customer based solely on the discretion on a case-by-case basis. This will be done via the same payment method used, less the courier fees.

Curatr is an online-only retail shop. We do not keep products on-site; instead, we place orders with our suppliers once a customer orders and pays.

Unless otherwise specified, our paper products are printed on 250g Fine Art Paper using advanced Epson inks. Our canvas products are made from high-quality 270g poly-cotton with a satin finish. If canvases are framed without glass, the canvases are water-resistant and can be cleaned with ease. Please refer to the "Caring for Art" section below for more details.

Canvas and art print wall art can last for many years due to their high quality.

To maintain their beauty, place the artwork in an area that doesn’t receive direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can cause fading over time.

Exposed canvases (i.e., without glass) should be lightly dusted regularly to preserve their appearance and prevent dust from causing damage. For art behind glass, clean it with a glass cleaner using a microfiber cloth, while carefully steadying the art to keep it secure and undamaged.

Unless otherwise stated, our products are digitally printed on art paper or canvas.

We’ve successfully fulfilled 93% of custom requests where clear and detailed requirements have been provided. We are also able to guide you in order for you to define your needs more specifically.

We've partnered with The Courier Guy for local shipping. For requests to ship products out of the country, the product size, weight, export duties and any other applicable costs. The cost will be in addition to the purchase price.
